Worship Greeting

Welcome!!  While COVID continues to impact our lives and our worship community, our sanctuary is fully open for in person worship!   However, we will be limited to one service at 10am to begin our fall season on September 12th.  Reservations to attend are NO LONGER required nor is social distancing.  Effective August 22nd, MASKS ARE NOW REQUIRED for all regardless of your vaccination status.  With the rise in COVID rates in our area, this is necessary to maintain the saftey of all in our church and community.   Wearing masks helps protect those most vulnerable in our congregation, including children.  Please note, our worship service continues to be broadcast via Zoom every Sunday.

Childcare is available in our nursery (following CDC guidelines) and Church School is available (with masks) for ages 4 through 12!  We look forward to seeing you in person or online!

May God bless us regardless of how we worship these days. Pastor David

Worship Service Schedule

10:00am In-Person and Online (via Zoom)
Beginning September 12th, there will be only one weekly worship service which will be in-person service while also broadcasting online via Zoom.  We are hopeful that our 8am and 9am services will return soon.  Masks are required by all regardless of your vaccinated status.  Congregational singing will stil be allowed at his time.  Worship leaders do not wear masks when speaking except when interacting with children.  Childcare is currently provided as is Church School for older children during our whorship hour.

Online Worship (via Zoom):
Our Zoom service will be offered EVERY SUNDAY.  It is broadcast live from our sanctuary.  Our service includes hymns (with words on the screen to sing along).  In addition, there is a time of fellowship at the end of the service where everyone is invited to turn on their microphones and videos to greet one another.  Instructions to connect can be found on our home page.  This is a great way to continue to worship as a community without the risks of gathering in crowds inside a building.

Imposition of Ashes

Imposition of Ashes – TODAY, Ash Wednesday, February 17th ~ 12-12:30pm & 7-7:30pm
There are two options to receive ashes, either 12-12:30pm or 7-7:30pm.  Ashes will be administered on a drive-thru basis outside in the semi-circle of the church.  Safety precautions will be taken, with the Pastor changing gloves after each person.  You may choose to receive ashes either on your forehead or hand.  Masks are required, and you will be asked to please remain in your car.  While this is a deviation from our usual service we are thankful to continue this historic practice and observance.  Ash Wednesday emphasizes a dual encounter:  we confront our own mortality and confess our sin before God within the community of faith.  The use of ashes is a sign of mortality and repentance and has a long history in Jewish and Christian worship, and the Imposition of Ashes can be a powerful nonverbal and experiential way of participating in the call to repentance and reconciliation.
